Texas Hold Em Rule

Texas Hold em Rule - The Stakes

According this Texas Hold em rule, the stakes are depending directly to the game type you select, so for a Fixed Limit Texas Hold em game, the stakes dictate the bet and raise amount for each round. For example, in case the stakes are $5/$10, thanks to this Texas Hold em rule, in the first two rounds of betting, both the bet and the raise must be $5, and the last 2 rounds will have a bet and raise amount of $10.

Texas Hold em Rule - The Cap

In Fixed Limit Texas Hold em games by rule, each round of betting is consisted of one bet and has a maximum number of three raises (known as the cap) that are allowed, so if a bet is made, it can only be raised three times. After these raises, all players must call or fold, but in case only two players remain in the hand, the cap may be increased to a maximum of five raises.

Texas Hold em Rule - The Blinds

The blinds in Texas Hold em are mandatory bets posted by two players at the start of each hand, before any cards are dealt. According to this Texas Hold em rule, the player directly to the left of the dealer posts the small blind (which in a Fixed Limit Texas Hold em game is half the small stake), rounded down to the nearest dollar, and in case you play Pot Limit or No Limit Texas Hold em game, the small blind is equal to the small stake. After that the player to the left of the small-blind posts the big blind, which in a Fixed Limit game is equal to the small stake, and in Pot Limit and No Limit Texas Hold em games by rule is equal to the big stake.

Texas Hold em Rule - The Dealer Button

The Button is a symbol that represents dealer, and after each Texas Hold em hand, the button moves clockwise to the next active player, who becomes the dealer for that hand. By rule this player is considered to be "on the button", and is the last person to act in the betting round, and also the first player to the left of the button is the first player who is dealt cards, the first one to act in each betting round, cause he posts the small blind.

Texas Hold em Rule - Pre Flop

In Texas Hold em by rule the dealer deals first each player two face down cards, and these cards are known as Pocket cards or Hole Cards. When the cards are dealt, the player that that is after the big blind, must decide whether to call, raise or fold the big blind. In Texas Hold em, each player in turn is given these options, until all bets are called and the big blind checks, but don't forget, in a Fixed Limit game by rule any raises are limited to the lower stake amount and in a Pot Limit game, the bet can't exceed the pot amount.
